Houston Shell Open - Easter Week & Weekend - March 31 to April 4, 2010
HPPL has the opportunity to staff up to 12 carts at the Houston Shell Open with the goal to receive funds for HPPL. Therefore, we need volunteers to help us sell and serve ice cream, lemonade, and pretzels at this event. Shifts range from 4 to 5 hours daily between 8 am and 5 pm and include FREE admittance to the tournament. Volunteers MUST be committed once signed up as the event will take place NO MATTER the weather. Dress requirements are khaki slacks/shorts and a plain golf t-shirt, or our HPPL organization t-shirt. Caps and visors will be supplied. A parent must be present if children between the ages of 14 to 17 years of age are volunteers. The location of the Houston Shell Open is Redstone Golf Club, 5860 Wilson Road, Humble, Texas 77396. If you want to help, contact HPPL at hppl@hppl.org.

Kroger Neighbor to Neighbor Program
It's that time of year to renew your Kroger “Neighbor to Neighbor” charity preference. The selection you made in past years no longer rolls over from year to year automatically. Kroger now ends their charity donation year in May and reopens the charity year in June. So it's time to register again. Just click on the "renew" link above to find a copy of the HPPL bar code. Print it out and take it with you to be scanned and then you can continue to help animals for another year. You can also pull up the bar code image on a Blackberry or IPhone for scanning at the register. No matter how you re-register, you are donating to the care of homeless pets.
